How does energy effect change?

Energy can affect change in many ways. Most caused energy is heat and temperature. Let¡¯s talk about energy that affects change.

The changing by temperature
- Melting point and boiling point cause by temperature. For ice to melt, energy must be added to cause the vibrations to increase enough so that the molecules can break loose from their positions in the ice crystal. Because the temperature is a measure of the average kinetic energy of the particles in a substance, temperature will increase only after the forces holding the ice crystals together are overcome. When the particles are free to move, the heat energy that is added is converted to energy of motion for the particles. Now matter how much heat energy is transferred, the temperature will not rise above 0¡¯C until all of the solid melts. No matter how many ice cube there are, the melting point is always same.

Difference between heat and temperature
- Temperature is a measure of the average kinetic energy of random motion of the particles in a sample of matter. so that meants no matter how many ice cube is there the ice cube will be melt at the same point but heat is a measure of the total amount of energy transferred from an object of high temperature to one of low temperature which means that as getting more ice cube the energy required needed more heat.
